My son has a genetic anomaly that has caused him to be developmentally delayed.  He was enrolled in traditional therapy programs but the progress was slow.  I started searching for other options and googled the therapy place that I often drove past, Ability Plus Therapy.  I read about their intensive therapy program.  It was the first time I had ever heard about intensive therapy.  I researched intensive therapy and spoke with my child’s pediatrician and therapists.  They all agreed that intensive therapy was worth a shot and many of them had had positive experiences with Ability Plus in the past.
I made the phone call, we had an evaluation, and a little while later we started our intensive therapy program.  I cannot say enough wonderful things about intensive therapy.  The benefits far out weigh the cost, time, and commitment involved.  We saw immediate changes in his strength, his interactions with others, and his own curiosity to explore the world increased.  He was able to walk, jump, and ride a bike during his sessions.  He even clapped for the first time during intensive therapy.  We were so pleased with Roberta and all of Ability Plus’ therapists and facility that we decided to go to them for his traditional therapy as well.  He recently took his first steps during a physical therapy session at Ability Plus.  We are now eagerly awaiting our next intensive therapy session.  To anyone considering intensive therapy, I cannot say enough wonderful things.  If we had never found Ability Plus Therapy, I know my child would not be where he is today.  Thank you, Ability Plus!

This Video gives a brief description of Intensive Therapy

My son Jordan has attended 2 sessions at Ability Plus in 2009 and one in 2010. He has been diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum, SI and suffers from Hypotonia. These disabilities negatively affect his muscle strength, balance, ability to walk without tripping or falling, ability to perform everyday tasks, and independence. Jordan has been in therapy for over 5 years participating in numerous different kinds of treatment, but I feel one of the most beneficial for him was the Therasuit here at Ability Plus Therapy. All of his therapists, when we returned home to Virginia, commented on his progress, even his teachers. He learned to ride a bike, his tone and fine motor skills have improved, and his confidence soared. I also feel the staff are very kind and truly care about their patients; they will go out of their way to help families.
