PROMPT
Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) is a technique used by speech therapists for treating motor speech and language disorders. It is especially effective for children with apraxia and aphasia.
Voice & Speech Training
We utilize voice-activated interactive software that provides data acquisition and playback of the patient’s voice. It uses fun interactive games on a computer that is controlled by his/her voice, providing fun visual and auditory feedback. The software measures voice quality, such as pitch, volume, maximum phonation time (breath support), and voice onset (timing).
Oral Motor and Feeding
Oral motor therapy focuses on strengthening and stimulating weak muscles of the jaw, lip and tongue, and lengthening tight muscles in the mouth for speech and feeding. We use Beckman Oral Motor Protocol and Orofacial Deep Tissue Release to maximize outcomes.
VitalStim® Therapy
VitalStim ®Therapy utilizes Neuro-muscular electrical stimulation (NMES) with electrodes applied to the outside of the neck to target specific muscles that promote normal swallowing.
Galileo
The Galileo vibration plate provides a side alternating motion and whole-body vibration based on the natural movement of human gait, creating a tilting movement of the pelvis.
Multi-Sensory Room
Multisensory rooms are immersive environments to develop the patient’s senses and facilitate sensory integration.
